For years, Marcus "Buff" Bagwell lived a life most people only dream about.
As a professional wrestler competing on the biggest stages in WCW and WWE, Marcus had fame, success, and recognition. From sold-out arenas to television screens around the world, he had it all — or so it seemed.
But behind the spotlight, a series of bad decisions and addiction slowly began to take their toll. What once looked like an unstoppable career unraveled. Marcus lost his platform, his stability, and eventually his health.
Yet, that was not the end of his story.
In the midst of brokenness, Marcus experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Where the world had taken everything, Christ offered something greater: forgiveness, purpose, and true freedom. Around the same time, Marcus married his best friend, Stacy, and began rebuilding his life on a new foundation — faith, humility, and obedience to God.
Today, Marcus feels a clear calling to share his testimony and point others to Christ. Through speaking engagements, he openly tells his story — not to glorify the past, but to magnify the grace of God. His message is one of hope: no matter how far you’ve fallen, redemption is possible, and your story isn’t over.
From the ring to redemption, Marcus "Buff" Bagwell now lives to make one thing known — Jesus saves, restores, and gives purpose beyond anything this world can offer.
